Our panel of judges has made its choices for this year's awards, and we are proud to announce the results. Please give a round of applause to the following Proggy Award winners for their initiative, creativity, passion, and desire to make a difference!
Most Animal-Friendly Production Studio: Animal Makers
Using animatronics and hand-crafted models to bring fantastic characters to life, Animal Makers has been providing lifelike alternatives to live animals in film, TV, and advertising for the past 25 years. In fact, Animal Makers just released a new state-of-the-art gorilla suit named Brutus. The use of |
| Brutus will save great apes from the routine abuses that they endure in order to be used for entertainment. As compassionate as they are innovative, these industry aces are in high demand because they know that real animals have no business in show business. That's why they refuse to lend their expertise to projects that involve cruelty to animals. From the capuchin monkey in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies to the bellicose Budweiser frogs, the artists at Animal Makers are dedicated to creating television, ad, and movie magic without making real animals suffer. |
Here is the letter we received from them. |
