AMI Quick Navigation

Only two weeks or so into the build, Animal Makers already had the basic moves down. This rehearsal was shot to see what moves were working on the male eagle puppet. The female wasn't performed (much) for this video. Shot in our Newbury Park location during 2000. Animatronic crew on the show included Jim Greenall. Jim Boulden shot the test. Over 5,000 individual feathers were put through a five step coloring process. The first step is just going through chicken and goose feathers to find the good ones and split out lefts and rights. No actual eagle feathers were used for this work. In the background, you may be able to see shelving for the fake fur collection housed here.

The interesting thing is, these anmatronic frames can be covered in other colors of feathers and fur to create different looks to the characters. What would YOU make out of these?
