It was commissioned by the fisheries division of the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). The skin is flocked latex with a fabric backing for strength. The coloring is non-water-based, alcohol dye. The whiskers are hand-punched and made from natural fibers that are thicker on one end and thinner on the other. The entire figure is slightly flexible and can be posed into your diorama. Excellent for use as a photo opportunity or educational prop. Can be finished to look like a leopard seal. It is 60" long, 25" wide, and 25" tall. It is slightly flexible but not built as a puppet. Built as a long-lasting display.
